“Microsoft releases emergency update for critical IE patch”

Recently, there was a bug found in the latest version of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, which accounts for 70% of the web browser industry.  On Wednesday, December 17th, Microsoft made a repair software, that can be accessed via the standard Windows Update systems that will help protect your Internet Explorer from dangerous infections.  Users of Internet Explorer are encouraged to download the update as soon as possible, as there are approximately 10,000 websites describes as “in the wild” that exploit the user’s computer to viruses.

Microsoft typically releases “patch updates” only on every first Tuesday of the Month.  However, since this is an emergency patch, it is important to download it ASAP if you use Internet Explorer versions 5.01, 6, 7 and 8 Beta 2.
