A news article in yahoo! announced that people that use all current versions of Microsoft Corp.’s Internet Explorer browser could be vulnerable to having their computers hijacked. This is due to a serious security hole in the software that had yet to be fixed Monday. According to the column there are about 10,000 sites have been compromised since last week to exploit the browser flaw. The sites are serving up programs to steal passwords for computer games, which can be sold for money on the black market. Most of the sites are from China. Security experts urge users to use another browser until a patch is released. i believe that this is definitely scary due high rate of identity theft, and the fact that most people have tons of important information in their PC/laptops.
