Toyota’s Why Not Campaign

In 2007, Toyota launched a new ad campaign, which uses broadcast, print, and online ads and emphasizes environmental commitment, economic investment, and social responisibility. This was said to be a defensive strategy from Toyota because it was attacked by environmental groups due to Toyota’s support of a smaller increase in the federal fuel economy, but Toyota says the campaign and the environmental groups are not connected.
