Microsoft Online Store WOWOWOWOW

In an attempt to reduce its carbon footprint, Microsoft recently launched a US website dedicated to Electronic Software Distribution.  The site, which will offer downloads for popular software such as the Microsoft’s Windows Suite, offers an additiional advantage other than helping the environment.  Since product keys will be stored on Microsoft servers, end users will be able to reinstall their software without contacting MS by phone or online.  The strange thing, though, is that Microsoft is marketing its products at costs higher than almost all retailers.  For example, Amazon sells Windows Vista Ultimate for $250, as compared with $320 for Microsoft’s new site.  Strange, says I.
