Branding, according to the AAA, is a “name, term, symbol, design or a combination of them intended to identify the goods and services of one seller or a group of sellers to differentiate them from those of the competitors.”
Distribution, price, product, community, communication all effect the brand. But branding is a two way relationship. The brand also effects the distribution, price, product, community and communication of a product or service. Brands are therefore used to enhance the effectiveness of all marketing activities.
