Privacy
Privacy has always been an issue since 9/11 but watching the video just showed and proved how big of a problem it is. I understand that they want everyone to be protected, but the fact that they are “spying” on us without our consent is disturbing and uncomfortable. It’s not fair that we have to sacrifice our freedom for security. Indeed, the fact that they are watching our every move is not going to make a big different. If someone will want to do something, they will find a way to do it.
In my opinion, the fact that the government is watching us, listening to our calls and etc. can lead to a type of discrimination. They might judge you because of what you said or believe. For example, recently on the news it has been reported that “a secret New York Police Department were program to spy on Muslim businesses, infiltrate mosques and monitor Muslim students on college campuses.” So my question is, Is it right to spy on a person just because he is a Muslim?

I feel that you are getting confused about how the government spies because they spy based on reason to spy for example: a suspicious email or a suspicious package in the street or in a hotel. There are certain liberties everyone has to give up in order to stay safe because those liberties are being exposed and taken advantage of by others. If we do not give up some privacy then that means we have not learned anything from previous mistakes and just because ” If someone will want to do something, they will find a way to do it.” then that is just not doing anything at all to prevent anything because that is assuming bad will happen inevitably.
