Giving Thanks!
Given the theme of Thanks around this time of year, it’s important to remind those in your world that make your professional and academic life possible. So, here’s a list of people that you should consider reaching out to in this time of Thanks:
- Family, Friends, Colleagues
- Mentors, Supervisors, References
- Professors and Staff at your Academic Institution
Take this time to send him/her a personalized message and let them know exactly what they mean to you and why you are Thankful that they are part of your life. In a world where we ask for a lot of things from others, you have to also give back and show those people who give to you that you are grateful. No matter what anyone may say NO ONE MAKES IT ON THEIR OWN. To paraphrase a famous adage — It takes a village to raise a professional. So, take this time to nurture and thank your village.
