I am glad that you have found a club that interests you. I hope you will find many more! One of your roles is certainly to be a sponge for knowledge. It’s also to set an example for others. Show how important it is to volunteer out of the goodness of your heart, not because it’s required or encouraged.

If it makes you feel any better no one has heard of my high school either. I am sorry to hear about the falling out you had with your friend. I went through a similar situation senior year so I can relate. I actually went home crying a lot senior year because of this ‘friend.’ Know that this is a new chance for you and that people are much more mature in college! (At least I find this to be true in Baruch, especially the honors students)

I loved your camping experience. I never thought about it that way. I have always been against camping, but maybe just maybe I ‘ll reconsider.

I’ve always wanted to do some real camping because I’ve only gone to summer day camp to get out of my mom’s hair. Take me with you on your trip next year!
