i Magazine

Submit

i Magazine publishes the strongest scholarship and creative work produced by Baruch College undergraduate and graduate students, in order to foster a community of writers, readers, students, and teachers.  We are especially interested in student work that facilitates teaching and learning.

Please email your submissions to imagazine@baruch.cuny.edu as MSWord attachments, with “Submission” in the subject line.  All Baruch students are eligible to submit their work or to nominate the work of a peer. Professors may also nominate student work, and are encouraged to include a nominating note that describes the strengths and potential teaching and learning applications of the piece.

We accept nonfiction, fiction, poetry, multimedia, and fine art submissions, and are open to expanding and blurring those categories.  While we have not set a formal page limit, please browse our current submissions to get a sense of how far one’s eye is willing to travel down a web page (we find about 25 double-spaced pages to be the max).

The i Magazine editorial staff reads submissions throughout the semester, and will usually respond within a month or so. We are a small staff, so please be patient and rest assured that each submission will receive our full attention and discussion. The submission deadline is rolling, but work tends to be published in clusters at the beginning or end of each semester. If you have any questions about the guidelines, please do not hesitate to contact us through email.
