Schedule of Classes

CUNY Schedule of Classes

BARUCH Schedule of Classes

Honors Classes

Weissman Honors Classes – Spring 2010 (revised 10/24/09)

Zicklin Honors Classes – Spring 2010 (revised 11/4/09)

Weissman Majors

Weissman majors can declare their major and minor as early as their freshman year, but should do so no later than the semester in which they are completing 60 credits.

To declare a major and minor, go to: https://www.baruch.cuny.edu/application/review.jsp

With special permission, Weissman students may register for two liberal arts majors. In such cases, you will not need to declare a minor. If you are considering this option or an ad-hoc liberal arts major, consult with your advisor as soon as possible.

For Macaulay Scholars, the minor is “Interdisciplinary Minor in NYC Studies” If you want to complete an additional minor, you can declare it at the Registrar’s office some time before you graduate.

Unlike the Zicklin School, there are no “pre-Weissman” requirements. However, you must pass the CPE exam by the time you have completed 60 credits.

Your advisor and DegreeWorks will assist you with planning for the completion of all required courses in the liberal arts and science core. Remember, unlike Zicklin students, you must complete two natural science classes, you must take a course in cultural studies, and you have a more stringent foreign language requirement.

You cannot take both Biology and Environmental Studies. Also, if you are continuing a language that you started in high school, you should visit the Dept. of Modern Languages and Comparative Literature for an assessment regarding whether to take an intermediate or advanced course in the language.

Zicklin Majors

To be admitted to the Zicklin School, you must have completed (or be in the process of completing) the following courses:

ENG 2100
MTH 2205, 2207, or 2610
COM 1010 or ENG 2150
CIS 2200 [pre-req: SIMNET]
STA 2000 [pre-req: sophomore + SIMNET]
ECO 1001
ECO 1002
ACC 2101 [pre-req: sophomore]
LAW 1101

You must also have earned 45 college credits and passed the CPE exam.

If you will be ZK eligible by the end of this semester, you must do the following:

1. File on line for a major and minor:
https://www.baruch.cuny.edu/application/review.jsp

If you are a Macaulay Scholar, your minor is “Interdisciplinary Minor in NYC Studies.” You can always file for a second minor at the Registrar.

2. Write to your advisor letting him/her know that you will be ZK eligible. Do so before November 3 to be eligible to register for classes in Spring 2010. You will be given a temporary ZK code enabling you to register for 3000 level business classes next semester. The code will not be permanent until this semester’s grades are in.

If you have not finished your Pre-ZK requirements and will not finish them by the end of the Fall 09 semester but would like to take a 3000 level Zicklin honors course in the Spring 2010 semester, please email your advisor with the details and we will put together a wait list to fill any open seats.

Note:
If you will have completed 60 credits by the end of this semester, but will not have completed all of the pre-ZK classes, you must go the Registrar’s and fill out an “intent to major” form.

The state requires that all students have some major on file once they have completed their sophomore year or 60 credits (whatever comes first).
