The CUNY Ultimate Frisbee Team AND Club was started this semester by Cliff Pysher (Macaulay Hunter). Since its founding in late September, the club has grown rapidly and spread from its roots in Hunter to Baruch, Queens, City, and Brooklyn (and wants to spread into Lehman and CSI as well!).

T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More) Baruch is a Student Leader Training and Development Program that works with students to help them develop their leadership potential. Student leaders are responsible for promoting an environment conducive to a positive student experience. It is their responsibility to supplement and complement the process of formal education by enhancing the quality of life within the Baruch community.

American Humanics Student Association
American Humanics is a nationwide umbrella organization with affiliations with many nonprofit organizations and certification programs in select campuses nationwide. Baruch College is one of the campuses that offer a certification program in Nonprofit Management. Although you may not consider a career in the nonprofit sector, getting this certification, at no extra cost to you, would be another great asset to your resume and a way to acquire essential leadership and career skills for the future.

How the Current Economic Crisis Impacts Non-Financial Fields
With all the talk about how major financial institutions are impacted by the current economic crisis, have you wondered how other fields are faring? If so, come to an interdisciplinary panel discussion on how four non-financial fields (not-for-profit, healthcare, real estate, and newspapers) are managing the financial crisis.
This event is going to be held on October 15, from 12:30-2:10pm at the 17 Lexington Ave, 23rd street building at Baruch College, room 903. Food and Dell goodies will be given out.

Baruch Cents Ability
Volunteer Training Session – complete and visit New York Stock Exchange!
- This training session will be conducted by Baruch Cents Ability officers to teach new volunteers how to teach high school students about personal finance. We invite everybody who is interested in teaching NYC high school students the importance of finance literacy.
Students who complete this free training session will be eligible for a NYSE trip that will be held on October 23rd.
Make sure to take the first step and RSVP to baruchca at gmail.com with Subject Volunteer Training. It will be a fun experience and you will get to meet other volunteers as well. Beverages and food will be provided.

Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society
Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society is starting up a volunteer program with a non-profit organization called Cents Ability which dedicates itself to teaching the fundamentals of finance to inner-city teens.
They are in the midst of recruiting volunteers from Baruch College to become volunteer teachers or committee members. Please see the attached flyer for more details about the program.
