MACAULAY ARTS & SCIENCE DAY
Time: 11:00am – 3:00pm
Location: Macaulay Honors College
Macaulay Honor College hosts first ever Arts/Science Day.
Sublimation, Freud says, creates both art and science. And yet how do these two seemingly binary opposites interplay? Can science inspire art? Can art influence science? We invite artists and scientists at Macaulay to explore and discuss these topics with our four lecturers, all of whom weave science and art in their daily lives.
Students not only passionate about work in arts and sciences, but also excited about the dynamic tango between art and science, are welcome to join us for a what will certainly be an electrifying and thought-provoking day! Lunch will be served.

Improve your communication skills
Management theorists have said time and again that intelligence without proper communication skills is not a winning combination for employees. Good communication skills will help you land a job and then keep that job.You can’t beat the facts–no matter how smart you are: If you can’t communicate, you’re going to have trouble.
The Macaulay Business Club and Macaulay Literati Club present to you two professionals who will guide you through specific communication situations and advise on how to smoothly navigate through them.
The event will take place on Wednesday November 18th from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the Macaulay Honors College building located on 35 West 67th Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue. If interested, please RSVP at http://www.macaulay.cuny.edu/rsvp/?q=node/252
