Businesses and corporations are forced and under the scanner by government to adapt measures to reduce environmental damage. Green IT has become the latest buzzword on managing business’s ecological footprint. Corporates constantly are searching for ways to decrease impact of their actions on the environment and governments are looking for new ways to change their traditional functioning, which are far from efficient and sustainable energy.
According to some experts, 2011 was the major year for innovations in the Green IT field characterized by energy efficiency and sustainability. In fact in India, the government made the move for increased usage of greener technologies and laid down several guidelines for technology vendors to be followed before they get important contracts or which are part of various e-Governance initiatives.
