In the April 2nd issue of the NY Times reported that NY’s law (CEE) requiring manufacturers to collect their products at end of their life went into effect April 1st. The goal is to make collection widespread and easy before putting e-wasting into general trash becomes illegal in 2005.
Some companies have formed cooperatives to form MRM that will collect the waste. MRM has a policy whereby they will take any brand.
